- Delightful 2,543m mountain of broken crags and surprising, perfect alpine lakes near Bursa, south of the Sea of Marmara. Not to be missed if in the area.
- A long history of Christian and Muslim hermitry.
- A variety of fine day walks, both in the foothills and to the top for splendid views. Easy to strenuous.
- Unpredictable weather. Best climbed May to September.
