Key information: Rees-Dart Track

A Walkopedia friend (whose name we don't have!) says:

"Glorious track in New Zealand, South Island, close to Queenstown and Glenorchy, it is a five day trek if you include the Cascade Saddle-Pylon trip.

Done on Febreaury 2011, first stage was complicated, as had to wade  through rivers several times. It is a long and tough stage.

Second stage you arrive to the first saddle...glorious.

Third stage is the long day round trip to Pylon and Cascade Saddle, this is said to be one of the best one day walks in NZ with Tongariro Crossing and Avalanche Peak, walking besides the Dart Glacier, provides amazing views from Cascade Saddle and even better from Pylon.

Fourth stage walking through Dart valley, is a nice and beautiful walk.

Last stage is easy, finishing with a big smile.

If you investigate this walk it must be inside your 100 best walks"

Walkopedia says "Thank you anonymous friend!"

This is a demanding walk in high, remote mountains, on which you will have to be self-sufficient. Come prepared.
