WALK SUMMARY

Beginning on the lower Astoria River Trail, walk up this lovely valley (and access route to the famously magnificent Tonquin Valley), to the Surprise Point Campsite (2km in).

Here you turn off to climb up the Eremite side valley to stunning Arrowhead Lake, 6km further on. You can walk even further up into this wonderful, remote high valley area surrounded by grand mountains.

This is moderately demanding walking in remote mountains with uncertain weather and white bears are common. Come fully prepared.
