A very remote, totally unspoilt range north of the lovely and interesting Chamba and Ravi valleys.
A shorter walk is southward to sacred Mani Mahesh Lake, below Kailash Peak (not to be confused with its famous Tibetan namesake). A 40km (3 day) round trip in the Mani Mahesh Range.
Best months: June or July (depending on trek) to mid or late October. Monsoon until September.
Tough, high walking in remote mountains, where altitude can cause problems. Come fully prepared.
